U-10 PROGRAM

Our U-10 Program is for 7, 8 and 9 year olds.  This division uses the "Learn to Play" Level 2 & 3 program.  In the U-10 program proper technique of throwing, catching, hitting and pitching are shown.  Pitching is a very important part of fastball so it is a very important that each player learn how to pitch and are able to experience pitching in a game.

U-10''''s play one game a week and one practice a week.  Sometimes there are more games and practices on the weekend.  There is a mini one day tournament during the year(date and organization done by the coach).  Rules are introduced in this division for safety reason as well as for how to play the game.

The U-10 program begins in April and ends in the middle of June and they meet on Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:30pm -7:00pm weekly.  The home field for this age group is Wiltse Field(behind the school).   Traveling for away games to other associations (Summerland, Wiltse, Naramata, Cawston & West Kelowna) begins in the age group. 

Uniform:  Hat, socks,t-shirt(provided by Penticton Fastpitch), shorts to be purchased($20) by player through Penticton Fastpitch.

Equipment needed:  Ball Glove, Batting Helmet with cage.
